Afternoon showers are common during the summer months in Orlando and safety is our #1 concern.We closely monitor weather conditions and for the safety of our guests, team members, and animals, we may suspend operations during periods of inclement weather, including thunder, and lightning. During these periods guests may be asked to evacuate pools, reefs, and dining areas to seek shelter.
Water activities will still continue during rain storms, including:
• Dolphin Lagoon and Interaction
• Freshwater Oasis®
• The Grand Reef®
• Serenity Bay
• Wind-Away River
In the event a named tropical storm or hurricane is predicted to approach Orlando, Tampa, or a guest’s hometown, within 7 days of the scheduled visit, Discovery Cove will reschedule or refund any vacation package booked online or from the call center. We will not apply any cancellation or change fees for this service. For any additional information, call 407-513-4600.
If your vacation plans do change, due to any other unforeseen events, we do accommodate this by allowing our guests with one complimentary date change prior to your visit. Further changes to your itinerary will be provided for a nominal charge of $50 per change. Bookings made within 14 days of the original reservation date will be booked at the original rate. Bookings made outside of that time will be subject to change based on seasonal rates for the new date chosen.
Please note: If you decide to cancel or rebook your Discovery Cove reservation within 30 days of your visit there is no refund. If the cancellation notice is provided more than 30 days from your originally scheduled arrival, you will receive a full 100% refund. If you have to change or cancel your reservation, please contact the Discovery Cove reservations center at 407-513-4600.
For St Augustine, Marineland, the policy is different…
All cancellations must be received by Dolphin World / Keys Adventure Tours, Inc. in writing by email or regular mail. A 10% service charge prior 31 days of activity date. A 50% service charge within 30 – 15 day period prior activity date. A 75% service charge within 14 – 8 day period prior activity date. Prior 8 days of your reservation date, you may change your reservation to a gift certificate, good for 1 year from the date of the certificate plus change fee. Dolphin activities goes on Rain or Shine. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY ACTIVITY PARTICIPANTS who cancel within the 7 day period, does not show up, are late for scheduled
program(s). Once a reservation has been made, a change to the scheduled program date is subject to availability. Changes made to existing reservations are subject to a $25.00 per person change fee.
